The Annual Directors’ Retreat: Compassion in Action was held in early September in Savannah. Compassion moves us to act, whether through kindness, support, or a willingness to go out of one’s way to help. FCCs stand out from other healthcare providers due to their unique approach to compassion, which is deeply embedded in their mission and operations. “It’s our superpower”, as defined by Breanna Lathrop, CEO of The Good Samaritan Health Center in Atlanta.

The event featured presentations on organizational mission, hiring mission driven employees, fundraising and public awareness campaigns, topic discussions, and an advocacy update, along with networking and time to enjoy Savannah.
